MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611048991 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on April 17, for 'a compact trie data structure for fast string search.'
Inventor(s) include Raviraj Singh Kurmi; and Aishwarya Kashyap.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A compact trie data structure for fast string search is disclosed. The structure includes an input normalization module (101), a build controller (102), a root node repository (103), a compact node array (104), a transition descriptor store (105), a tail storage region (106), a terminal payload map (107), and a search controller (108). Active symbol transitions alone are stored, while non branching continuations are retained as compact tail fragments. The arrangement supports exact lookup, prefix recognition, descendant enumeration, and payload retrieval with reduced memory consumption and efficient traversal behavior."
