MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641019750 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 20, for 'a cognitive-triggered breathing physiotherapy system.'

The system includes a cognitive monitoring interface, a breathing guidance module, and a feedback unit that activates or adjusts breathing cues based on detected cognitive states such as attention, mental focus, or task engagement. The invention enables improved breathing control, autonomic regulation, and patient compliance in neurological, cardiopulmonary, and psychosomatic rehabilitation selliugs. The system may operate with visual, auditory, tactile, or multimodal cues and is suitable for clinical, home-based, and tele-rehabilitation environments."
