MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511103291 A) filed by Manipal University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 27, 2025, for 'a closed-loop personalized avatar and outfit recommendation system.'

Inventor(s) include Akhilesh Kumar Sharma; Mehreen Kaur; Aditya Goyal; and Vaibhav Snigdh.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a system for closed-loop personalized avatar and outfit recommendations. The system comprises a virtual try-on module that renders garments on a user avatar defined by modifiable body parameters stored in a user profile database. A user interface displays the avatar and receives user adjustments to garment fit. A parameter update module updates the body parameters based on these adjustments, and a recommendation engine generates clothing suggestions based on the updated body data. The user interface can receive user-uploaded images to populate this wardrobe, and the recommendation engine can suggest accessory items such as shoes, chains, or bracelets to complete an outfit. It can also take occasion input from the user to tailor recommendations. The virtual try-on module employs pose estimation and body segmentation models to improve garment alignment accuracy, while the parameter update module refines and evaluates using visual quality metrics like SSIM, FID, and LPIPS."
