MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421014155 A) filed by Mitsubishi Electric India Private Limited, Pune, Maharashtra, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'a clamping device for engaging and disengaging a component onto a din rail.'

Inventor(s) include Ramdas Ravsab Tibile; and Vishwanath Upendra Prabhu.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a clamping device (100) for engaging and disengaging a component onto a DIN rail (10), the device comprising a housing (110), the housing (110) having a top section (111), a middle section (112) and a bottom section (113). A top clamp (120) configured to be positioned on the top section (111), the top clamp (120) having a frame (123), the frame (123) having a first resilient structure (122) positioned therein, the first resilient structure (122) having a first engaging hook (121) configured to engage with an upper flange (11) of the rail (10). A bottom clamp (130) configured to be positioned on the bottom section (113). A lever (140) configured to be mounted on the top of the housing (110), wherein the lever (140) is pivotably moved between a closed state and an open state to engage and disengage the first engaging hook (121) with the upper flange (11) of the rail (10)."
