Manimekalai; Dr. M. Mohamed Mahroop Raja; Dr. R. Krishnan; and Ayesha Meraj, Trichy, Tamil Nadu, on Jan. 29, for 'a chocolate-based delivery system for probiotic microorganisms.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The system (100) includes a chocolate-based delivery system for probiotic microorganisms comprising a chocolate matrix base (102), a probiotic incorporation unit (104), a protective encapsulation unit (106), a homogenization and mixing unit (108), a molding and shaping unit (110), and a packaging and storage unit (112), wherein the chocolate matrix base (102) provides a carrier medium, the probiotic incorporation unit (104) introduces probiotic microorganisms, the protective encapsulation unit (106) protects probiotic viability, the homogenization and mixing unit (108) ensures uniform distribution, the molding and shaping unit (110) forms consumable chocolate units, and the packaging and storage unit (112) preserves product stability. The invention enhances probiotic delivery efficiency and promotes consumer-friendly functional food consumption."
