MUMBAI, India, Dec. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102961 A) filed by Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, on Oct. 25, for 'a cementitious composition and a process for the preparation thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Syed Muhammad Ibrahim; Saad Shamim Ansari; and Syed Danish Hasan.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A Cementitious Composition and a Process for the Preparation Thereof A cementitious composition for preparation of concrete comprising 45 - 55 % weight coarse aggregate, 25 - 35 % weight fine aggregate, 10 - 17 % weight cement, 7 - 8 % weight of water, 0.17 - 8.3 % weight perforated fly ash cenospheres, 0.02 - 0.67 % weight dispersed nano-silica. Further, a process for preparation of cementitious composition comprising: perforating fly ash cenospheres through a controlled etching process; dispersing nano silica through a pH-controlled process; taking 45-55 % weight coarse aggregate, 25-35 % weight fine aggregate and mixing the same for 1 - 2 minutes; adding 10 - 17 % weight cement, 0.17 - 8.3 % weight perforated fly ash cenospheres into the mixture and mixing the same for 4 - 6 minutes; adding 0.02 - 0.67 % weight dispersed nano silica gradually and continuously mixing the same for 2 - 3 minutes till uniformly mixed with each other; adding 7 - 8 % weight of water in the mixture and mixing it for 4 - 6 minutes; placing the mixture in a mould or any required place to cast concrete specimens/structure."
