MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611005509 A) filed by Poornima College Of Engineering, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Jan. 20, for 'a carbon-aware construction analytics platform for sustainable project planning.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides the Carbon emissions and energy use pose considerable obstacles to the progress of cloud computing. A proposed strategy for energy sourcing integrates carbon emissions by establishing hourly limits and modifying them according to the carbon intensity of the electricity grid. This methodology aims to reduce the carbon footprint linked with cloud services. While acknowledging that this approach may lead to variations in capacity, we assess its effectiveness using real workloads from providers like Microsoft and Google, considering elements such as variability, dynamic range, structural makeup, and frequency of changes. Carbon-aware policies can maintain high performance while promoting efficiency in cloud operations. Through the adoption of proactive adjustments and improved scheduling techniques."
