MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311086056 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Dec. 16, 2023, for 'a camera fixation assembly for a vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure elaborates upon a camera fixation assembly (100) for a vehicle. The assembly (100) comprises a carrier plate (102) configured to be removably fitted to a windshield and/or a real glass panel of the vehicle. The carrier plate (102) is configured to securely accommodate a camera thereon, where the carrier plate (102) comprises one or more first engaging elements (106). The assembly (100) further comprises a camera cover (104) comprising one or more second engaging elements (108), where each of the second engaging elements (108) is configured to removably engage and lock with one of the first engaging elements (106) to secure the camera cover (104) on the carrier plate (102) while restricting separation of the camera cover (104) from the carrier cover (104) in an event of an impact on the vehicle."
