MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641001647 A) filed by Qunu Labs Private Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Jan. 7, for 'a calibration system for a magnetometer and a method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Anekant Jain; Korak; Kushal; Pranav; K Rajesh Kumar; and Dilip Kumar Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a calibration system (100) for magnetometer. The calibration system comprises coil arrangement (101) configured to generate magnetic field along mutually orthogonal axes, wherein overlapping region of said fields defines a calibration zone. The calibration system comprises correction coil (105) associated with at least one axis of main coils. Correction coil is configured to adjust magnetic field in calibration zone. The calibration system comprises microcontroller (107) to receive and process measurement signals from magnetometer (103). The calibration system comprises control circuitry (109) operatively coupled to microcontroller and coil arrangement to generate control signals that are transmitted to coil arrangement and correction coil based on measurement signals and predefined value of magnetic field. Microcontroller and control circuitry together operate in closed-loop feedback configuration for calibrating magnetometer based on measurement signals and control signals."
