MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076357 A) filed by Avt Natural Products Ltd., Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Oct. 8, 2024, for 'a bioflavonoid composition, process of preparation and implementations thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a bioflavonoid composition comprising a bioflavonoid, at least one surfactant with 5 a molecular weight between 300 and 1500 g/mol, and optionally a macromeric compound. The composition exhibits enhanced solubility and bioavailability and may be formulated into various delivery formats, including hard gelatin capsules and nutraceutical food products. The present disclosure also relates to a process for preparing the composition 10 involves mixing the bioflavonoid with optional polysaccharides and suspending agents, followed by the addition of an aqueous surfactant and binder solution. The composition of the present disclosure is suitable for use in dietary supplements or medicaments and may be administered to manage various health conditions or disorders."
