MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611052954 A) filed by Career Point University, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, on April 25, for 'a bioactive swarasa composition of sadahari exhibiting haemostatic and wound - healing properties.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ram Avtar; Ms. Sakshi Sabharwal; Ms. Sanjana; and Dr. Kuntesh Kumari.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses Swarasa, the most effective ayurvedic non-thermal extraction method for a bioactive formulation made from the Sadahari herb. The technique uses mechanical cold-trituration of 20-25 fresh herbal units to prevent heat from destroying volatile haemostatic enzymes and antioxidants. The extract and crystallised sugar candy (Dhaga Mishri) combine to stabilise the biochemical profile and maximise systemic cooling potency. This process ensures consistent therapeutic efficacy in promoting hepatic and renal health, preventing bleeding, and managing diabetes mellitus. The final formulation also demonstrates strong anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties that facilitate rapid wound healing and gynaecological stabilisation, including the treatment of skin-related problems and prevention of recurrent abortions. Future indications include pharmacological evaluation, standard of dosage, shelf-life studies, and clinical trials to assess efficacy in Haemostatic activity, hepatic conditions, and metabolic imbalances, supporting its integration into evidence-based Ayurvedic practice."
