MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115505 A) filed by Nims University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 22, 2025, for 'a bidirectional energy trading system and method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Dikshita Das.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bidirectional Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) energy trading system (100) enabling intelligent energy exchange between electric vehicles (EVs), homes, buildings, and the power grid. The system includes an AI-driven V2X Control Unit (101) configured to collect real time market prices, renewable generation forecasts, consumption data, and EV battery parameters such as State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH). Using a multi-objective optimization algorithm, the control unit determines optimal charging, discharging, and energy-selling decisions. A Smart Charging Infrastructure (102) facilitates secure bidirectional energy flow, while inverters (103) support Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) and Vehicle to-Building (V2B) power conversion. A V2G interface (104) manages energy export and communication with the grid. Users interact through a User Interface (105), and all energy trades are securely recorded on a Blockchain-Based Ledger (106) using smart contracts, ensuring transparent, automated, and efficient decentralized energy management."
