Inventor(s) include Srujal Mungse; Vaishnavi Tiwari; Nagaraj Bysani; Chandrasekar Lakshminarayanan; Madhu Devegowda; Rajkumar Manokaran; and Rahul Mishra.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A bearing (100) with brush and slip-rings for an electric motor comprises an annular shaped inner race (102); an annular shaped outer race (104) located concentric to the inner race (102); a plurality of balls or rollers (108) between the inner race (102) and the outer race (104) to enable a smooth relative rotational motion between the inner race (102) and the outer race (104) about a rotational axis; a pair of slip-rings (110) in rotational coupling with the inner race (102), at least two brushes (112) located adjacent to the pair of slip-rings (110) in an axial direction, the brushes (112) are in contact with the respective slip ring (110), the brushes (112) being fixed to the outer race (104) such that relative rotation between the inner race (102) and the outer race (104) results in relative rotation between the slip-rings (110) and the brushes (112)."
