MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087931 A) filed by Okaya EV Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'a battery anti-reverse connection device and a method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Manoj Chawla.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present discloses a battery anti-reverse connection control method based on a charging device which includes connecting an AC/DC conversion circuit, a filter circuit and a switching circuit in respective order, then converting an access alternating current into direct current by the AC-DC conversion circuit, the filter circuit filters the direct current, then the switching circuit transfers the filtered direct current to the battery in the on-state, stopping the filtered direct current to the battery in the off state, and limiting the filtered direct current to the battery in the current limiting state. The present further discloses accessing the alternating current and controlling the switching circuit to be in a current limiting state, and when the switching circuit is in a current limiting state, the battery is judged to be reverse connected, then determining that the battery is not reversed, controlling the switching circuit to be in the on-state."
