MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541098216 A) filed by Shankar Moni, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 12, 2025, for 'a bamboo flute enhanced with resonance.'

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is a bamboo flute enhanced with resonance (110) comprising a main bamboo flute (100), one or more than one closed resonating chambers: the first resonating chamber (101) and the second resonating chamber (102), wherein (101) is attached at the end of the main bamboo flute (100) closer to the embouchure hole (105) while (102) is attached to the belly of the main bamboo flute (100). The first Tumba (103) and the second Tumba (104) are attached to (101) and (102) at the center holes H1 and H2, respectively to amplify the resonance. The attachment of said chambers, help capture micro-vibrations and a resonance is created. Either one or both of the resonators can be used. Tumba itself may or may not be used. The variations due to sound frequencies around the central frequency gets canceled out and the same sound with central frequency continues for a longer time."
