MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641025734 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 5, for 'a bad sheet-integrated cognitive and functional physiotherapy training system for dementia and neuro.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention discloses a bed sheet-integrated cognitive and functional physiotherapy training system comprising a plurality of visually demarcated therapeutic zones printed or embedded on a bed sheet. The zones include name recall, clock and calendar orientation, color matching, color sequence tracing, puzzle solving, calculation tasks, limb movement guidance, hand and arm tracing paths, leg sliding and lifting guidance, and activities of daily living (ADL) simulation areas. The system enables bed-based rehabilitation without the need for electronic components, wearable devices, or external equipment. The invention supports cognitive stimulation, motor planning, limb mobility, coordination, and functional independence, particularly for dementia patients, bedridden individuals, and patients undergoing neurological rehabi I itation."
