MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007377 A) filed by Kuppusamy Suganthirani, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 3, 2024, for '7-diethylamino-4-hydroxy coumarin derivative and a process for the preaparation thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Kuppusamy Suganthirani; and Balasubramanian Murugesapandian.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A 7-diethylamino-4-hydroxycoumarin derivative of compound of formula I shows the solvatochromic effect, aggregation induced emission feature in methanol-water mixture, colorimetric sensing behaviour towards Cu2+ and fluorescence turn-off sensing towards Cu2+/Fe3+ ions. The Compound of Formula I-Cu2+andCompound of Formula I-Fe3+ensembleshave been utilized as a turn-on fluorescence sensor for the detection of S2-and PPi anions respectively through a decomplexation approach. The detection limit for Cu2+was found to be 0.76 10-9 M and forFe3+ ions were 1.03 10-7 M. Formula- I."
