MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631052048 A) filed by Asansol Engineering College, Asansol, West Bengal, on April 23, for '3d printer with automated in-layer micro-fiber reinforcement and real-time structural stress optimization.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. Suraj Yadav; Dr. Ashes Maji; and Dr. Ramesh Prasad Sah.
The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention provides a 3D printing system equipped to embed micro-fibers within printed layers to enhance structural strength and durability. The system uses a micro-fiber dispensing module, a real-time stress mapping unit, and an adaptive reinforcement controller to dynamically determine fiber placement during fabrication. A dual-nozzle extrusion head allows simultaneous deposition of printing material and reinforcement fibers. Optical monitoring ensures precise embedding. The system creates lightweight, high-strength components suitable for industrial and engineering applications."
