MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517049115 A) filed by China National Petroleum Corporation; and China Kunlun Contracting & Engineering Co. Ltd., Beijing, on May 21, for '1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol production system and method.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are a 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol production system and method. The production system comprises: a first-stage hydrogenation reaction unit, in which a first-stage hydrogenation reaction is carried out to generate a first-stage mixed product; a first-stage separation unit, in which the first-stage mixed product is separated, and obtained DMCD is respectively sent to a second-stage hydrogenation reaction unit and the first-stage hydrogenation reaction unit; the second-stage hydrogenation reaction unit, in which a second-stage hydrogenation reaction is carried out to generate a second-stage mixed product; and a second-stage separation unit, in which the second-stage mixed product is separated to obtain 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol."
