Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND STUDY OF GLACIAL AND IT’S ENVIRONMENT. A sensor based zonal system (200A) and method for recording and monitoring glacial and it’s environment is disclosed. The system (200A) includes a plurality of stakes (202) that monitor various snow parameters and relay the information to a remote monitoring and control device (214) on a real time basis through concentrator (204) and repeater stakes (206, 208). The remote monitoring and control device (214) can calculate the mass balance of glaciers, their movement, and their health. The system (200A) is an autonomous integrated solution based on IoT for monitoring, recording, and flagging various snow, ice, and glacier lake parameters in real-time. FIG. 2A
