Abstract: ABSTRACT SYNERGISTIC HERBICIDAL COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING SAFLUFENACIL AND OTHER HERBICIDES The present invention relates to synergistic herbicidal compositions comprising Saflufenacil or an agriculturally acceptable salt thereof as a first active ingredient, and at least one herbicide selected from chloroacetanilides and dinitroanilines as a second active ingredient. The invention further provides herbicidal formulations comprising the said active ingredients together with one or more agriculturally acceptable excipients. The invention also provides methods for controlling weeds by applying an effective amount of the composition or formulation to a locus in need thereof under pre-emergence or post-emergence conditions. The compositions exhibit synergistic herbicidal activity, enhanced weed control efficiency, reduced weed biomass, prolonged weed control, and improved crop safety when compared with standalone herbicidal treatments.
