Abstract: “Serum Proteomic Biomarker Signatures for Differentiating Acromegaly from Healthy Subjects” The proposed invention a discloses method and system for classifying a serum sample as associated with acromegaly. The method comprises preparing the serum sample of a subject by depleting high-abundance proteins and digesting proteins in the serum sample to peptides, and determining expression levels of one or more biomarkers by proteomic profiling of the serum sample of the subject, wherein the one or more biomarkers comprise at least one of LRRC19, ADGRG2, PSMD11, and APOD. Further, the method includes comparing the expression levels of the one or more biomarkers with corresponding reference expression levels from healthy control subjects and designating the serum sample as associated with acromegaly when the comparison identifies at least one of increased LRRC19, ADGRG2, or PSMD11 and decreased APOD relative to the corresponding reference expression levels.
