Abstract: ABSTRACT “RECOVERING AND RESTORING DMA BUFFERS IN A GENAI MODEL BY AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE” Embodiments herein provide a method and system for recovering and restoring DMA buffers in a GenAI model by an electronic device (100). The method includes monitoring a state of the GenAI model based on one or more parameters. Further, the method includes determining a trigger for a GAMS (502) based on the state of the GenAI model. Further, the method includes determining at least one buffer from a plurality of DMA buffers associated with the GenAI model that are safe for recovering upon triggering the GAMS (502). Further, the method includes performing a GAMS memory recovery operation for the at least one DMA buffer from the plurality of DMA buffers. Further, the method includes performing a GAMS memory recovery operation for the at least one DMA buffer from the plurality of DMA buffers. Fig. 16
