The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The present invention discloses, a wearable device application for smartwatches and equivalent body-worn devices, enabling continuous passive monitoring of a user's vocal behaviour also called Voice Emotion and Language Monitor (VELM). The application employs an on-device speech-to-text engine and keyword detection module to identify and count abusive or profane words spoken during the day, and a pitch analysis module to measure the cumulative duration during which the user's vocal pitch exceeds their personalised baseline—a proxy for emotional agitation. Daily statistics are compiled and reported to the user as intuitive notifications. When either metric breaches a configurable threshold, the device automatically plays a soothing music track preferred by the user, providing an in-situ behavioural intervention without external assistance. All audio is processed on-device to ensure privacy. The invention addresses an unmet need for passive, non-intrusive, ambient vocal behaviour awareness tools in the wearable technology domain.
