Abstract: ABSTRACT “PROTECTION OF MEDIA FROM UNAUTHORIZED GENERATIVE AI BASED EDITING” The present invention discloses a method and an electronic device (200) designed to protect media from unauthorized Generative AI based editing. The method involves receiving an input media file, which can be either an image file or a video file, by the electronic device (200). The input media file is further converted into the frequency domain to generate a frequency domain media file. An optimized noise component is then added to this frequency domain media file. Further, an output media file is produced based on the combination of the optimized noise component and the frequency domain media file. This process ensures that any unauthorized attempts to edit the media are effectively thwarted, thereby preserving the integrity and authenticity of the media content. FIG. 9
