Abstract: ABSTRACT ‘‘NETWORK ACCESS CONTROL FOR REDUCED CAPABILITIES USER EQUIPMENTS” The present invention discloses a method for network access control for RedCap or eRedCap UE (400) in a communication network (1000). The method includes receiving, by a provisioning MnS producer (300) at a network apparatus (200), a request message to create or modify a Radio access Network (RAN) node from a provisioning MnS consumer device. The request message includes a RedCap access criteria to support the control of access of the RedCap or eRedCap UEs in the RAN node. The method includes sending, by the network apparatus, a response message from the provisioning MnS producer to the provisioning MnS consumer device indicating creation or modification of a model object instance (MOI). Further, the method includes barring or allowing, by the provisioning MnS producer at the network apparatus, the access of the RedCap or eRedCap UE to the RAN node based on the RedCap access criteria.
