MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421096909 A) filed by Snh Innovation LLP on December 08, 2024, for “nanoparticulate-Based Antibody-Drug Conjugates For Targeted Lung Cancer”.
Inventors include Chauhan, Nirav Dr.; Chauhan; Pravinkumar; and Chauhan; Bhavnaben.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to a nanoparticulate antibody–drug conjugate (NADC) comprising human-serum-albumin nanoparticles encapsulating repotrectinib and covalently conjugated to bevacizumab. The formulation is prepared by aqueous-phase nanoprecipitation followed by PEG-linker activation and carbodiimide-mediated antibody coupling. The resulting particles exhibit a mean size of approximately 120 nm, narrow polydispersity, high drug-entrapment efficiency, and stable surface charge suitable for intravenous administration. The NADC provides sustained release of repotrectinib, enhanced tumour accumulation, and reduced off- target distribution compared with the free drug. In vitro, the NADC demonstrates increased cytotoxic potency, augmented Annexin-V apoptotic signalling, and dose-dependent S-phase and G2/M cell-cycle arrest. In vivo, the NADC achieves superior tumour-growth inhibition and markedly lower liver and spleen exposure. The formulation shows minimal systemic toxicity, favourable histopathology, and long-term physicochemical stability. The invention provides an improved platform for targeted delivery of repotrectinib and related anticancer agents. [Figure 25]
