MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421075436 A) filed by Meghmani Crop Nutrition Limited on October 05, 2024, for “nano-Sized Diammonium Phosphate (nano-Dap) Composition Fertilizer, Method Of Preparation”.
Inventor includes Mr. Ankit N Patel.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: TITLE OF THE INVENTION: “NANO-SIZED DIAMMONIUM PHOSPHATE (NANO-DAP) COMPOSITION FERTILIZER, METHOD OF PREPARATION” ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an innovative nano-sized Diammonium Phosphate (Nano-DAP) fertilizer, wherein the particles are engineered to range from 1 nm to 100 nm in diameter. This advanced formulation significantly improves nutrient delivery efficiency by enhancing the solubility and bioavailability of phosphorus and nitrogen, which are critical for plant growth. Compared to conventional Diammonium Phosphate fertilizers, Nano-DAP offer a substantial reduction in environmental impact due to its ability to minimize nutrient leaching and runoff. The present invention further encompasses detailed methodologies for the synthesis of Nano-DAP, including chemical vapor deposition, sol-gel processing, and wet chemical synthesis, each providing control over particle size and distribution. Additionally, the present invention outlines effective application techniques such as soil incorporation, fertigation, and foliar spraying, which leverage the unique properties of Nano-DAP to optimize nutrient uptake and mitigate ecological risks associated with traditional fertilization practices.
