Abstract: ABSTRACT “Mobile Hybrid Air Cleaner with Intelligent Adaptive Control, Chimney Induced and Dual-Stage W-Configuration Filtration” The present invention relates to a mobile ambient air cleaning apparatus (100) and method for mitigating atmospheric particulate matter in an outdoor environment. The apparatus includes mobile structural platform (101) having a wheeled base, cylindrical chimney structure (102) supported vertically by the mobile structural platform (101), the cylindrical chimney structure (102) defining an axial airflow pathway (103) and a top aperture (104), a corona discharge ionisation assembly (105) disposed within the axial airflow pathway (103), where the ionisation assembly (105) electrostatically charges entrained airborne particulate matter prior to filtration, an annular W-configuration dual-stage filter assembly (106) disposed annularly around a lower portion of the cylindrical chimney structure (102), inner and outer fan-mounting positions disposed at opposite peripheral faces of the annular W- configuration dual-stage filter assembly (106), a fan array (107) including electric axial flow fans removably mountable at a selected one of the inner and outer fan-mounting positions.
