Abstract: Abstract 5 To provide a technique that makes it possible to more easily form a slug flow, an aspect of the present invention provides a method for forming a striped fluid in which two or more phases made up by respective ones of mutually immiscible two or more fluids are arranged in an alternating 10 manner along a length direction of a flow path, the method including: an introduction step of introducing the two or more fluids together into the flow path to form a flow of the two or more fluids; and a formation step of, with a flow rate of at least one fluid of the two or more fluids in the flow path 15 kept substantially constant while remaining the same as a flow rate in the introduction step, decreasing a flow rate of the other fluid(s) of the two or more fluids to a flow rate which is lower than the flow rate in the introduction step or setting the flow rate of the other fluid(s) of the two or more 20 fluids to substantially 0 mL/min so that the striped fluid is formed, the introduction step and the formation step being carried out repeatedly in an alternating manner.
