Abstract: “KNOWDECAY — AI-POWERED MEMORY DECAY PREDICTION PLATFORM” ABSTRACT KnowDecay is an AI-powered memory decay prediction and personalised revision scheduling platform that predicts per-topic memory-strength trajectories for individual learners by combining a baseline forgetting-curve model with an ensemble of machine learning predictors (XGBoost and Random Forest). The platform ingests user study topics and metadata, initialises decay trajectories using the Ebbinghaus-style forgetting curve, refines predictions using time-since-review and quiz-performance features, computes optimal revision times, issues personalised revision events and notifications, and continuously recalibrates predictions via a quiz-based feedback loop. The system is implemented as modular microservices with a real-time data store and includes an automatic ML fallback mechanism for prediction robustness and a retention analytics dashboard to visualise memory health and prioritised revision recommendations.
