Abstract: “Interlocking Jigsaw Periodic Table Puzzle Toy / Jigsaw Periodic Table (JPT)” is a jigsaw type puzzle toy in which each jigsaw piece/cell of the toy corresponds to only one element of the periodic table along with the details of the element; each cell consists of the atomic number, atomic weight, symbol, name of the element, density, atomic radius, state (solid / liquid / gas) at room temperature, melting point, boiling point, electronic configuration, year of discovery, ionization potential, electronegativity, most stable valency, specific heat, crystal structure, type of element (whether the element is Alkali Metal (AM) / Alkaline Earth Metal (AEM) / Transition Metal (TM) / Lanthanide Series (LS) / Actinide Series (AS) / Semi Metal (SM) / Non Metal (NM) / Noble Gases (NG)), whether an element is synthetic or not, whether an element is radioactive or not, its real life application etc. Each cell has a jigsaw shape on its periphery so that it can be fitted to any location in the table; the learner can play and assemble all cells to get the modern periodic table and other versions of the periodic tables. While fitting each cell the learner recalls the name, symbol, atomic number, atomic mass, electronic configuration etc of the element every time. Playing this game / quiz results in the study and understanding of each cell of the entire periodic table.
