Abstract: “Innovative Oropharyngeal Airway with Anatomical Epiglottic Longitudinal Support Bridges and Posterior Nasopharyngeal Airflow Aperture” The invention provides an innovative oropharyngeal airway device featuring a hollow curved tubular body with proximal bite block and inlet, distal antero-inferior outlet equipped with longitudinal cross-bridges for epiglottic support, and posterior aperture for nasopharyngeal airflow. The anatomical design enables atraumatic non-rotational insertion and superior airway patency, as validated by randomized manikin simulation studies showing significantly improved performance over conventional Guedel airways, particularly by relatively untrained personnel. The device is simple, cost-effective, and suitable for emergency and routine airway management.
