MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631085757 A) filed by Narula Institute Of Technology on July 13, 2026, for “fair Verse: Ai Fairness And Bias Prediction Using Dig Ital Twins”.

Inventors include Mr. Abhishek Banerjee; and Ms. Debrupa Pal.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: “ Fair Verse: AI Fairness and Bias Prediction Using Digital Twins” ABSTRACT The present invention, titled “Fair Verse: A Predictive Digital Twin Framework for Pre-Deployment Bias Risk Assessment and Autonomous Fairness Optimization in Artificial Intelligence Systems,” relates to the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Digital Twin Technology, Explainable AI, and AI Governance. The invention provides a comprehensive framework for proactively identifying, assessing, predicting, and mitigating algorithmic bias prior to the deployment of AI systems in real-world environments. The framework comprises a data acquisition and profiling module configured to collect and analyse training data, validation data, demographic attributes, and operational parameters; a digital twin generation module configured to create a virtual replica of an AI model, including its architecture, decision logic, behavioural characteristics, and learning parameters; and a fairness simulation environment configured to execute multiple demographic, operational, and environmental scenarios to evaluate model behaviour under diverse conditions. The invention further incorporates a predictive bias assessment engine configured to detect, quantify, classify, and forecast potential fairness violations using statistical, causal, counterfactual, and performance-based fairness metrics.
