Abstract: A portable Bluetooth visual electrical stethoscope (100) is disclosed, integrating, within a single portable housing enclosure (110), a chest piece assembly (102), an acoustic sensor unit (108), a signal-conditioning circuit (112) having a pre-amplifier (114), an active bandpass filter (116), noise-suppression circuitry (118) and a gain- control stage (120), a microcontroller unit (122) with an analog-to-digital converter (124), a Bluetooth Low Energy module (126) and a power-management system (130). The acoustic sensor unit (108) converts physiological sounds into electrical signals which are amplified, filtered with heart-sound (20–150 Hz) and lung-sound (150–1000 Hz) bands, de-noised, digitized and wirelessly transmitted to a smart device (138) executing a mobile application (140). The mobile application (140) provides a real-time waveform display (142) synchronously with audio playback (144), together with recording (145), storage (146) and remote data sharing (148) for telemedicine. The integration of sensing, signal handling, low-power wireless communication, power management and visualization as a single product architecture provides synchronized visual-and-audio auscultation, improved signal-to-noise ratio, portability and low-cost manufacture, rendering the device suitable for hospitals, clinics, telemedicine, rural and mobile healthcare, emergency diagnosis and medical education.
