Abstract: The present invention relates to an Intelligent Multi-Stage Food Utilization and Redistribution System for Sustainable Food Waste Management that leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Computer Vision, and smart logistics to minimize food wastage and maximize resource utilization. The system assesses the quality and remaining shelf life of surplus food using image analysis and real-time sensor data, and automatically classifies it into suitable utilization pathways, including human consumption, animal feed, compost production, and biogas generation. An intelligent decision engine matches food with the most appropriate beneficiaries or processing facilities based on food quality, urgency, proximity, and logistics constraints. The system further optimizes transportation routes, enables real-time tracking, and generates sustainability analytics to monitor food recovery, waste reduction, and environmental impact. By integrating intelligent decision-making with efficient redistribution and resource recovery, the proposed invention enhances food security, reduces landfill waste and greenhouse gas emissions, and promotes a sustainable circular economy for food waste management.
