MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202623093127 A) filed by Sanjay Lalchandsingh Rajput on July 31, 2026, for “an Improved Stent-Integrated Magnetic Recanalization Equipment For Genito-Urinary And Pancreatico-Biliary Luminal Drainage And Anastomosis”.
Inventor includes Sanjay Lalchandsingh Rajput.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to improved equipment for magnetic recanalization of benign biliary strictures and other clinical strictures. Said equipment (100) includes a magnet-integrated stent (106), at least one magnet (110), and a guidewire (104). The equipment (100) works in conjunction with a visualization system to guide placement of magnet (110) at target stricture site for recanalization. Said magnet (110) is deployed at opposing ends of biliary stricture and other clinical strictures to create controlled recanalization channel via magnetic attraction. The deployment process is performed using endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD), or combination of both, or endoscopic ultrasound-guided (EUS). The magnets (110) are retrieved following recanalization using biopsy forceps or together with magnet-embedded stent and previously placed PTBD magnet (110) or other urological and pancreatico-biliary magnet, avoiding permanent implantation.
