Abstract: The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence (AI)-based IV infusion monitoring and automated dose adjustment system for improving patient safety and therapeutic efficacy during intravenous drug administration. The system comprises a smart infusion pump, physiological sensors, an AI processing module, wireless communication interfaces, and cloud connectivity for continuous real-time monitoring of patient parameters and infusion conditions. The system analyzes physiological data including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, ECG, temperature, glucose level, and infusion pressure using machine learning and predictive analytics algorithms. Based on patient-specific responses and predefined therapeutic thresholds, the AI engine automatically adjusts infusion flow rates and dosage. The invention further detects abnormalities including air bubbles, leakage, occlusion, overdose, underdose, and catheter blockage, and generates alerts through alarms, mobile applications, or hospital dashboards. The system reduces medication errors, enhances infusion precision, supports remote monitoring, and enables adaptive closed-loop intravenous drug delivery for critical care and healthcare applications.
