Abstract: A SMART TRACKING AND DYNAMIC COMMUTE OPTIMIZATION SYSTEM FOR PUBLIC BUSES ("AAMAAR KOLKATA BUS") ABSTRACT A cloud- based smart tracking and dynamic commute optimization system for public buses integrates GPS telemetry, a real-time tracking engine, a route optimization engine, an ETA prediction module, a traffic intelligence module and a notification/alert module with a commuter-facing mobile application. The system continuously receives bus location telemetry, processes vehicle positions, fuses real-time and historical traffic data to predict arrival times and to compute optimized routes, and delivers live map- based bus locations, ETAs, route recommendations and alerts to commuters. The architecture supports continuous monitoring and dynamic re-calculation of recommendations in response to traffic incidents, congestion and service interruptions, thereby reducing commuter waiting times and improving public transit reliability.
