MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631069883 A) filed by Asansol Engineering College on June 04, 2026, for “a Self-Evolving Smart Contracts For Smart Agriculture Using Environmental Feedback Loops”.
Inventors include Mr. Amit Chakraborty; and Dr. Avishek Banerjee.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: Abstract The present disclosure provides a self-evolving smart contract system and architectural framework for adaptive cyber-physical automation within smart agricultural environments. The system comprises a plurality of edge-deployed environmental sensing devices, an environmental feedback analysis module, an evolution controller, and a self-evolving smart contract execution layer natively operational upon a blockchain network. The environmental feedback analysis module continuously ingests high-frequency physical telemetry from the edge sensors, utilizing trend evaluation and statistical anomaly detection to generate multi-variable environmental feedback indicators. The evolution controller filters these indicators against immutable validation profiles and safe operational boundaries to prevent destabilization of the system. Validated parameters are passed to an internal evolution interface of the deployed smart contract, which autonomously mutates its runtime execution parameters, thresholds, and scheduling intervals in-situ without requiring code recompilation or contract redeployment. Every discrete state evolution event is cryptographically signed and permanently recorded to the blockchain ledger, achieving operational flexibility alongside absolute ledger immutability and complete historical auditability.
