MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631069872 A) filed by Asansol Engineering College on June 04, 2026, for “a Robotic Manufacturing Platform For Real-Time Sustainability Monitoring And Control”.

Inventors include Dr. Sarnendu Paul; Dr. Srijan Paul; and Mr. Kaushal Kishore.

The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: Abstract The present invention discloses an integrated cyber-physical robotic manufacturing platform and associated method for real-time sustainability monitoring and autonomous closed-loop adaptive control within industrial production environments. The platform comprehensively unifies at least one industrial robotic system, a distributed multi-modal sensor network, a low-latency Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) communication framework, a hierarchical edge-cloud data analytics architecture, an artificial intelligence predictive engine, and an adaptive sustainability control module. Multi-modal sensors continuously capture high-frequency electrical, mechanical, thermal, and chemical emission telemetry streams during live production. The artificial intelligence engine processes these data streams utilizing deep learning algorithms to dynamically compute real-time multi-dimensional sustainability indices, including energy efficiency ratios and carbon emission intensities. Based on these indices, the sustainability control module autonomously calculates and applies corrective control vectors directly to the localized robotic controller, dynamically modulating machine kinematics, motion trajectories, tool paths, and production scheduling to minimize environmental impacts and material waste while preserving target manufacturing throughput and structural product quality.
