MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611092769 A) filed by Hardik Bhoi; and Anita on July 26, 2026, for “a Retrofittable Refrigerant Heat Exchange Energy-Efficient Device”.

Inventors include Hardik Bhoi; and Anita.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: A refrigerant heat exchanger module for a vapor-compression refrigeration system comprises a housing defining an internal chamber, a suction refrigerant flow passage extending through the housing, and an internal heat-exchange assembly positioned within the internal chamber. The suction refrigerant flow passage is configured to receive low-pressure refrigerant returning from an evaporator and discharge the refrigerant toward a compressor. The internal heat-exchange assembly comprises a first helically wound coiled tube section and a second helically wound coiled tube section fluidly connected in series to define a continuous refrigerant flow path configured to receive high-pressure refrigerant from a condenser and discharge the refrigerant toward an expansion device. The first and second helically wound coiled tube sections are positioned within the internal chamber such that refrigerant flowing through the suction refrigerant flow passage surrounds external surfaces of the coiled tube sections to facilitate refrigerant-to-refrigerant heat exchange. The module is configured for installation in a vapor-compression refrigeration system as a retrofit unit or an integrated component to subcool the high-pressure refrigerant before expansion and superheat the low-pressure refrigerant before compression. The dimensions of the housing and the internal heat-exchange assembly may be selected according to the refrigeration capacity of the intended application.
