Inventors include Mrs. Priya Bansal; Dr. Abhishek Kumar; Ms. Mehak Handa; Mohd. Sameer; and Mr. Rahul Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a plant-derived therapeutic composition for anticancer activity and a process for preparation thereof. The invention utilizes extracts and bioactive phytoconstituents obtained from Thelypteris erubescens, a medicinal fern possessing significant pharmacological potential. Plant materials are collected, authenticated, processed, and subjected to solvent extraction to obtain phytochemical-rich extracts. The extracted compounds are screened against cancer-associated molecular targets through phytochemical analysis and computational techniques including molecular docking and related evaluation methods. The identified bioactive constituents exhibit promising interactions with targets involved in tumor growth, proliferation, and progression. The invention further provides a process for preparation of the composition and a method for identification of anticancer lead molecules from Thelypteris erubescens. The composition may be formulated into various pharmaceutical or nutraceutical dosage forms.
