MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611067953 A) filed by Dit University on May 30, 2026, for “a Multimodal Breast Cancer Diagnostic System And A Method For Performin G The Same”.

Inventors include Diwaker; and Anil Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a multimodal breast cancer diagnostic system and method that integrates histopathological imaging, patient physiological parameters, and clinical or genomic data for improved classification accuracy. The system employs a generative adversarial network to synthesize histopathological images for data augmentation, a convolutional neural network to extract image features, and multilayer perceptrons to encode physiological and clinical data into latent representations. These heterogeneous features are fused using a multimodal fusion module to form a unified representation, which is then processed by a classification module to predict benign or malignant breast cancer conditions, thereby enhancing diagnostic performance and providing clinical decision- support.
