Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: A DRIVE SYSTEM FOR A BRAKING UNIT AND A HVAC UNIT OF A VEHICLE 5 A drive system (100) for a braking unit (2) and a HVAC unit (3) of a vehicle is disclosed. The drive system (100) includes a dual cylinder V-type compressor (17) driven by a flywheel (1). The compressor (17) includes a first piston (4) reciprocating in a first cylinder (5) along a first drive plane (A-A). The first cylinder (5) is configured to supply compressed fluid to the braking unit (2). The compressor 10 (17) includes a second piston (6) reciprocating in a second cylinder (7), along a second drive plane (B-B) offset from the first drive plane (A-A). The second cylinder (7) is configured to selectively supply a compressed refrigerant to the HVAC unit (3). The compressor (17) includes a clutch mechanism (8) configured to be operated selectively, for driving the second piston (6), corresponding to 15 operation of the HVAC unit (3) to the ON condition.
