MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631069869 A) filed by Asansol Engineering College on June 04, 2026, for “a Context-Aware Blockchain System With Crop-Growth-State–driven Block Validation For Smart Agriculture Networks”.
Inventor includes Mr. Amit Chakraborty.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: Abstract The present invention discloses a context-aware blockchain system configured for smart agriculture networks, wherein block validation criteria and consensus profiles dynamically adapt based upon the biological growth states of cultivated crops. Multi-dimensional agricultural telemetry generated by a plurality of distributed IoT sensors is processed by a crop growth state identification module to identify distinct biological lifecycle stages, including sowing, vegetative growth, flowering, and harvesting phases. A context evaluation engine appends growth-state metadata to individual data transactions and selects an associated validation intensity profile specifying consensus node quorums, verification depths, and cryptographic thresholds. Enhanced, high-stringency validation rules are automatically enforced during highly sensitive biological milestones to guarantee absolute data integrity, while relaxed validation rules are dynamically applied during stable growth intervals to reduce computational overhead and conserve node energy. The framework maintains core blockchain immutability while optimizing ledger operational execution based on biological context.
