Abstract: The present invention relates to a context-aware natural language processing system and method for detecting and filtering harmful content in social media streams is disclosed. The system comprises a content acquisition interface for receiving user-generated textual data, a preprocessing module for cleaning and standardizing the data, and a machine learning-based classification module configured to categorize content into normal, abusive, cyberbullying, and hate-speech classes with associated confidence scores. A severity assessment module determines the intensity of harmful behavior, while an analytical module computes context-aware metrics including harassment density, victim targeting, and escalation risk. An explainability module generates human-readable justifications for classification outcomes, and a forensic module ensures evidentiary integrity by generating cryptographic hashes and timestamps for identified harmful content. The system further includes an output interface for presenting filtered results via dashboards, charts, or reports, enabling real-time or near real-time context-aware detection and mitigation of harmful content across social media platforms.
