The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a bio-composite vibration isolation pad is disclosed for reducing structure-borne vibrations transmitted from a wall-mounted industrial fan to a supporting wall. The pad comprises a multi-layer viscoelastic structure including top and bottom outer layers of wood pulp fibre and an intermediate core layer formed of a functionalized polyurethane foam composite incorporating coir peat. The layers are laminated using a neem gum-based binding system to form a lightweight, compact, and partially biodegradable pad configured to be interposed between a fan mounting bracket and a wall. The intermediate core may further include luffa fibre and microcrystalline cellulose to enhance load distribution and structural stability. The pad effectively distributes, absorbs, and dissipates vibrational energy while also providing sound attenuation. A method of fabrication is also disclosed, involving layering, in-situ foaming, curing, and conditioning steps to produce the laminated composite pad with improved vibration damping performance and environmental sustainability.
