MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517080877 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Aug. 26, for 'transmission system, remote radio unit (rru), and network device.'
Inventor(s) include Lin, Huajiong; Chen, Weimin; Yu, Jianjun; and Ding, Junjie.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application provides a transmission system, a remote radio unit (RRU), and a network device, for use in reducing the installation difficulty of network devices that support microwave (MW) technology and free space optical communication (FSO) technology. In the solution, the RRU can achieve joint deployment of the MW technology and the FSO technology, and one BBU and one RRU integrating the MW technology and the FSO technology can be deployed in one network device. On this basis, the BBU and the RRU in the network device can be connected by means of a cable. The solution can reduce the installation difficulty of network devices."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 29, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/074426.
