MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547079817 A) filed by Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, Tokyo, on Aug. 22, for 'partition member and battery assembly.'
Inventor(s) include Hashimoto Kei; and Kawai Tomohiro.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are: a partition member that partitions battery cells, the partition member having excellent shape stability even at high temperatures; and a battery pack in which said partition member is used. A layer that controls heat transfer is held in a retaining unit that has compressing properties to form an inner body, which is encapsulated in an outer casing body to constitute the partition member. The retaining unit is preferably formed in a tray shape and provided with a greater thickness than that of the layer that controls heat transfer, and is configured so that the area of contact of the outer casing body against the inner body increases along with an increase in the external pressure that is applied to the partition member."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 15, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/005325.
